do i smell a troll-roast?

anyone know anything about this new girl on MA? between her and you-know-who, it looks like we could be in for a fun evening.

apologies in advance to [livejournal.com profile] sithdragn, although i promise i'll behave ...

Oh ho ho ho...I'm off to catch up on MA!

Hey, I read that post. She started it! Go get her, girl friend! :)

You mean, Nancy, aka [livejournal.com profile] darkrosetiger? I don't think she's a troll, although I'm not sure she's chosen the best way to introduce herself to the list. I mean, if she thinks the thread is interminable, why is she adding to it?

She's been in HP for ages, though, and she's a friend of Ruth's. I just hope she's not always this annoying on-list.

Yay you for bravely responding to Q-Y. I couldn't figure out what she was trying to say. How she edits English-language zines I'll never know. Well, I suspect "badly" is the answer, but still.

yeah, i see the sig now, and thus retract the troll question.

but talk about flame-bait. "i'm not going to read the posts with any kind of care, but i'm going to go ahead and criticize the posters for neglecting to mention things"? dude.

in fact i might go over there and say so.

I did some co-writing with her over in the Est for a while and she's got a really thick skin after being in HP fandom.

And like Thalia said, she's a friend of Ruth's. I suspect there is some cheerleading going on with the wank. Both of 'em are regular posters over at f_w on JF.

*sighs*

/sarcasm

Actually I was asleep during all this and didn't learn about it until about an hour ago.

So the f_w hive-vagina (tm)? Not so much.

When I read the m_a digest last night you and Nancy were both in it and posted fairly close together. When I was still in the Est a lot of us would go look and comment on things right around the same time. It didn't seem like that huge of a leap to me.

*shrugs*

Hey, I have no problem with people being blunt on lists or anywhere else for that matter. I don't even give a you know what about f_w, never really have but it is another playground you guys shared when I was talking to you on a regular basis.

Things change, obviously.

Shutting up now since this is Fox's lj.

[identity profile] batagur.livejournal.com 2003-12-03 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well she did clairify her intent and admitted fault. *shrug* I can appreciate a list-sib who knows when to fall back and appologize.

One can't retract a faux pas once it's made; darn near everyone's done it. She gets mucho kudos in my book for bucking up to admit it and apologizing publicly.

Exactly! Like Fox did, on the list.

Oh, wait...

heh.

You notice I haven't said anything on list? So if this was a 'I should own up to something' comment, I'm not sure what else I can say here.

No, this was just a "follow the cascading comments" thing, nothing directed specifically at you.

[identity profile] darthfox.livejournal.com 2003-12-03 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
she meant that i hadn't apologized on the list. which i had, but why let that get in the way of a wagon-circling barb? :-)

At the time this comment was posted, you hadn't. Revisionist history, anyone?

[identity profile] darthfox.livejournal.com 2003-12-03 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
wow. now i'm in control of when the posts drop. what ever will i do with this power?

damn. it's gone.

wait, indeed. if my assorted public apologies (ruth's LJ; my own LJ; the list itself) haven't reached your notice yet, there's nothing i can do about it.
