yeah, that was a monday.
actually as mondays go it wasn't that bad. but i am officially -- well, when john cleese comes by, please don't put me on the cart. i mention this because otherwise you might not realize i'm not dead yet.
work was fine. no worries. and then curling:

darthrami, FC, and TT, against SM and his dykes team (devilvern, DA, and FH). played fine; i actually thought i was playing pretty well, but we couldn't get it together. darthrami ducked out after four when her cough got the better of her, and the score was eight zillion to nothing. we played three-man for two more ends, at the end of which the score was eight zillion and seven to nothing, and we packed it in.
subbed for DS in the second draw, with EE (who still calls me by my given name, and i hadn't realized how few people at the curling club there are anymore who do that), RA, and BS, against CM, SE, BG, and BD (i think). somehow, between the two games, i lost it. could not find the weight in the second game. i felt pretty lousy. they were all very nice about it, but i knew i could do better. grr. in the end the score was 8 to 6 or something totally respectable; surprising, really. none of us felt like the game was as close as it turned out to be.
haven't played two games right in a row since like forever. am achy, and will be achy and stiff tomorrow morning. but in a good way! but it'll still hurt.
in even better news, though, the refund check from the last not-quite-month of phone service at my old place came in the mail today, and my visa bill is about $450 less than i was expecting it to be. yay!
