and then --

-- it always surprises me how much better i feel after having paid my bills.

you'd think it would be depressing, wouldn't you? but while i don't enjoy paying them, there's an incredible feeling of satisfaction that comes from knowing i'm on top of the paperwork and in control of my life (cf. my parents' visit last month).

I feel the same way, actually. Far more depressing is *not* paying my bills.

Yup, I have the same feeling. I think like you said it's the feeling of having your ducks in order and not having to worry about those things anymore. For me the key to calm is having things done and not floating around in my brain to worry about.

I'm going to say me, too. I don't care for the act of paying my bill -- of which there are way too many -- but I like having paid them. And having them paid. If that makes sense.

Yup. I send mine off --cyber and snail mail-- as soon as I get paid, and it's the most wonderful sense of relief every two weeks.
