there are a handful of you who have specific knowledge of my reasons for calling myself a huge dork; i'm sorry to be so cryptic, because it annoys the bejeezus out of me in other people most of the time, but unfortunately there are at least a couple of you who don't have specific knowledge of my reasons, and i'm not ready for that to change quite yet.

I get the Lauren Bacall voice, too, and sometimes it is kind of fun. Unfortunately I'm usually feeling too rotten to appreciate it at the time.
