head colds suck.
from utica two weeks ago i called my doctor to have them phone in a presciption to the (ugh) wal-mart all the way out there, because i could tell the cold i'd failed to stave off with zinc lozenges had turned into a sinus infection. they did so. i have now finished taking the antibiotics (with all the attendant complications; mark my words, next time i'm counting the number of pills and buying that many yogurts, plus three, on the first day, so i can't run out), and while i don't have those particular symptoms of a sinus infection any more, i still have a slightly-more-than-occasional productive cough (in fun colors); pressure in the ears, usually just annoying but sometimes a little painful, and causing trouble with my hearing now and then -- my ears didn't pop all the way home from baltimore last night; and ungodly pressure in the sinuses, caused by swelling rather than by being full of gunk. i can breathe at all times, but i can feel that the passages are smaller than they should be. i can feel that they're inflamed; really, putting something cold over my eyes and the bridge of my nose feels wonderful, because behind the mask-area up there, things are on fire.
trislindsay gave me sudafed yesterday when i didn't have any with me, and i LOVE her. i took more when i got home, before going to bed, and slept like a rock; i took more when i got up half an hour ago, and am just now feeling some relief.
am seriously considering at least talking to someone about the surgery to get the ol' sinuses excavated.

Hope you feel better soon. And lucky you, seeing Nansi and Annie. I'm totally jealous.
