e-mail surprise

from old office-mate:
Lola,
Want to come back in place of [manager] and [teammate] through the summer? Call me when you have a chance and I will elaborate. I think you could request big money here.
--[signed]

my current (boring-est ever, see recent posts from self and [livejournal.com profile] darthrami) job is a six-month contract through the end of july. could certainly not go back to law firm for august and september only. am now debating pros and cons of examining employment agreement letter and presenting idea to manager-types ("dudes, the big deadline was april 30. do you seriously need me anymore?"). pros: more money! cons: flaking on a contract?

meh. anyone have thoughts?

(on the plus side, if this means they're hiring? [livejournal.com profile] ellen_fremedon, you could do worse.)

Have they got a website?

what's your relationship with your current boss? can you talk to them about it? Chances are that you are not contractually obligated to stay for the 6 months, just that that's the length of the contract. Also, talk to the former employer to see what they offer, might not be worth it.
