afterward, C and i had this conversation, verbatim:

cmshaw: that guy, carl -- he reminded me of someone, when his hair was all wet and down in his face. [hair-in-face hand gestures]
darthfox: [pause to allow C chance to be kidding] faramir?
cmshaw: that's it!
darthfox: [pause to allow C chance to be kidding] you know why.
cmshaw: [absolutely un-ironic pause] same nose?
darthfox: [incredulous pause] same fucking actor.

this really happened.

cmshaw: no it wasn't!
darthfox: it was.
cmshaw: no it wasn't!
darthfox: fine, it wasn't. look it up when you get home.
cmshaw: was it really?

Hah, sounds like something I'd do.

I saw David W in an Aussie film yesterday called 'Getting Square' where he actually looked awful... if was a terrific acting role though, heroin addict, ex con, petty crim with an IQ of about 50. He was frighteningly good, but soooo unattractive. *g*

Wheee! I'm so happy you share the understanding! I saw it with another friend who didn't like it, last night, and all I could think was, "You're an idiot."

I sort of said it aloud. Don't think that went down well.
