anh, i want it to be the weekend again please
1. lost the ball closure to one of my earrings. it fell out in the car yesterday, and i found it and put it back together, but i should have realized it wouldn't have fallen out in the first place if the hoop hadn't been screwed up a bit. so it fell out again last night while i was sleeping, and i can't find it at all. could be in my bed somewhere. could be behind my bed. i could have swallowed it, for all i know. it's just tiny. anyway, i also can't find where i have the little packet with the spares, and anyway i think the spares are all silver and the missing one is hematite (as are all the others i wear, so a silver substitute wouldn't match). could replace the whole shebang for about three bucks, if i knew where.
2. the cicadas are here. there's dozens of them all over the sidewalk and the parking lot in front of my building, huge dead things all over the ground. it's quite disgusting. bug guts everywhere. and i understand that these, as the first to die, are the weakest of the bunch -- the real champs will be even bigger. eew.
