there should be trains on which only commuters are allowed. no tourists before 9 am -- certainly no tour groups. MEMO to the crowd of seventh- and eighth-graders clogging up the blue line train this morning and making too much noise for anyone's good: you forfeit any hope of EVER being "cool" if you get on the train and all cluster in the area near the door. move toward the center of the train. sit DOWN when your teachers tell you to. in short: GET OUT OF OUR WAY.

Ahhh... I don't miss Metro AT ALL!!!

I remember one fun ride home where there were these three young (17-18 y/o) kids behind me on the train. Conversation went like this:

Girl #1: "Why do we even GO on these trips?!?"
Boy: "I know, they are a total waste of time!"
Girl #2: "You silly-heads! Father Joe says we need to do this so we can show these other kids how much we love JESUS!!!"

It was just the way she said "JESUS" that made me shudder...

My symapthies on the Metro rides, especially during tourist season.
