re: redundancy

please, everyone, stop describing small things as "small little". it's driving me bananas, and always has.

thank you.

how do you feel about "little tiny"? "eensy weensy"? "ickle bitsy"?

little tiny - interestingly enough, i feel like little in that phrase is more adverbial, or something. tiny little doesn't bother me either. neither do great big or big huge, but if anyone tried big large, i'd file it with small little and call for it to cease (and desist [g]) immediately.

eensy weensy - applies only to spiders, and then only if one is (a) a preschooler or (b) an adult in immediate charge of a preschooler.

ickly bitsy - i hope i never hear it spoken, but not because it's redundant.

:-)
