shoveling you-know-what against the tide
(remind me sometime to tell you why that phrase always makes me laugh.)
on top of everything else, for a couple of days i've felt like my right contact lens was no longer doing its job, and today it's finally giving me enough of a headache that i called and made an eye appointment. (noon, this saturday. ftlog please y'all don't let me forget.) i don't think it's anything wrong with my vision -- i think the lens just packed it in. it's happened before. i rub my eye the wrong way, or something, and the curve changes, and the thing is shot. no worries. it was time for an eye exam anyway, before i go away to school again and while i'm still insured. but do i have time for this right now?
i think you know the answer to that.
and i am sick with hunger. the new speedy metabolism is a good thing, except when it's not. i'm going to take advantage of these few quiet moments and duck out for some lunch.
