fun with the importer.

So I tick the boxes for "entries" and "comments", and give it my LJ name and password, and click "import", and it un-ticks the boxes I had ticked and ticks all the rest, but gives me a status update on what I asked for, and this invariably results in "Aborted" or "Failed". Usually never even initialized, actually. Messages in the inbox say invalid password, which is silly. So I'm thinking maybe there needs to be something here for it to import to? Hence this post.

If you're still having trouble, I'd encourage you to open a Support request (http://www.dreamwidth.org/support/submit.bml) as there are various bugs with the importer they're trying to find and fix. Is your password more than 30 characters? That can cause problems, though it should be fixed soon.
