in which the cat is out of the bag
so. upstairs neighbor's birthday party tonight, which i was encouraged by flatmate L to attend. i wasn't (invited) there for the dinner bit, but i showed up for the cake (of which i had none) and hanging-out bit, which was cool. and then of course when my friend A said "so who has good gossip?" and we tried kicking around some decent gossip for a while, the whole thing degenerated into a game of Never Have I Ever, which is always interesting (in the Confucian sense).
long story short: someone said "never have i ever hooked up with someone in this college." three of us (self, B-from-downstairs, and flatmate I) drank. whole room went "oh-ho!" various follow-up questions were discussed, including "never have i hooked up with a woman in this college" (which, as B was the only man who drank, would have required his naming me specifically), but fortunately the next question on the subject was "never have i ever hooked up with someone in this college who is in this room", at which point he and i both drank and that answered everyone's questions and say-no-more-about-it. (someone later said "never have i hooked up with someone in this college who is not in this room", and I had to name someone. which was fair enough. as i said, though, it would have been funnier if at the "someone who is in this room" question she and i had been the only ones to drink.)
so L told me i wasn't allowed to call her on not telling the truth about her gossip anymore, which, but, i mean, i never lied, after all. :-) but, okay. people know, and predictably, nobody cares. (funny moment: queen P said, just to cover all possibilities, "never have i ever hooked up with someone in this college that has not yet been discussed tonight." i knew there was a reason that boy amused me.

And best moment ever was when I got to say "I never had sex with him (~point~)," knowing that everyone in the room would have to drink but me.
