back at my folks' now, intending to call tech support tomorrow and see what can be done about the wirelessness of my computer, since it didn't pick up the signal at datlowen and jgesteve's either. still can't get any love from the empiredc e-mail -- can get into the box, but keep getting told it's empty. suspect i may have a different mailbox on the server now, and not know about it. ack.

all in all, a good visit to the former (heh) stomping grounds. didn't get to see everyone i'd like to have seen, but this isn't exactly the last time i'll be back, so no huge deal. brunch on sunday arranged by fafou, who is fabulous. unlimited mimosas! it's possible i drank too much this weekend, between the beer and the champagne.

but, you know, i earned it.

last night's cryptic post: yeah, sorry about that -- i'm okay. i think i do reasonably well, actually, at being Strong and Not Terribly Obvious (one doesn't want to make a scene, after all), but it's not easy (it was supposed to get easier; i want my money back), and after eight ends on adjoining sheets, even i could tell i was flinching just a little every time he spoke to me.

le sigh. and now back to smacking myself upside the head.

Well, I wish you wouldn't do that, because it freaks me out! I'm glad you're okay, though, and upset that I missed you entirely.

i'm not going to get empiredc e-mail until i can get back into my Outlook, i think. and ditto coding and uploading your stuff, until my laptop can get connected again. try sending your e-mail to my gmail address, eh?
