curling: is awesome. i want everybody to come join! or at least watch a game.
that other sport played with brooms: there was much to be dug in chamber of secrets. loved mr. kenneth branagh. loved mr. jason isaacs. loved mr. alan rickman. hated the spiders -- but not as much as my friends E., on my left, and N., on my right, who between them almost left me armless when the one spider leapt at the car after "glad we're out of there." (in fairness, although i was expecting exactly such a "surprise" -- because, like, i've seen movies before, hello -- i, too, was startled. i did not, however, yell or panic or do anything much beyond flinch and, as i've noted, nearly get my arms ripped out. E. spent the next three minutes with his hand over his eyes, mumbling 'i just screamed like a little girl. and nothing i can do in the rest of my life can make that not have happened.' quite amusing.) i was very sorry they didn't let mr. weasley remind ginny not to trust anything that can think for itself if she couldn't see where it kept its brain, but i suppose one can't have everything. and! because i'm one of Those People, and remain in the auditorium for the duration of the credits whenever i can (and i was driving, so i could), i got to see the special bonus easter egg at the very very very end. ha!
schoolwork: creeping up on me with jaws-like music playing on the soundtrack of my life. big ugly paper is going to big ugly suck. also, the toner cartridge in my printer is kaput, which blows.
apartment: clutter is spiraling out of control. odds are i'll spend the evening on that rather than on schoolwork. better homes through avoidance.
