elance is cool

it is this: she is definitely among the bravest people i have ever encountered. her life when i first knew her was not how she wanted it to be -- aggressively so -- and she decided she was going to change that and then she did, which when you're coming from where she was coming from can't be an easy decision to make, much less an easy thing to do. she encountered a lot of doubt from a lot of quarters (including mine -- i wasn't going to lie, when asked what i thought, was i?), and did it anyway, because she knew what she believed was right for her, and that is outstanding.

I do appreciate that you have said things I needed to hear, even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I'm glad, ultimately, that you did say those things, because it made me take a step back, look at what I was doing, and really, honestly, say, "Yes, this is the right way to be going, both in a practical sense as well as an idealistic sense".
And that can be nothing but good.
