an explanation, please, and a categorical one.

last night, i went to bed early -- which is to say, about 11pm -- in a declared attempt to force myself back into this time zone.

i woke up around 4am and tried, really i did, to get back to sleep.  this proving impossible, a little before 6 i got up and showered, thinking, great, then i can chat with some of the west-coast people for a bit and even get a little work done before it's time to leave the house at 9:30.  was feeling sinusy.  took a decongestant.

about 8am the grogginess had returned, so i decided to lie down and close my eyes for a bit so i wouldn't fall asleep in semantics (which, let me say for the record, i'm right with ellen_fremedon on jumping out the window to avoid).

three and a half hours later (i did set the alarm, but when it went off i made the executive decision to silence it and not to get up), the nausea is mostly gone, but the post-nasal drip that i suspect to be its cause remains.  also, my neck is still really tense.

wtf, i ask you.

I think the nausea and sinus-y stuff came along to give you an excuse for sleeping in, besides 'I stayed up all night playing Trivia Friday.'

but i slept from noon to like five on saturday because i stayed up all night morning playing trivia friday saturday. (erm, that makes sense when you do the math.) i'd like to feel better now please.

and, my semantics class is on the first floor, but that's in the british sense. so leaping from the window would be less of a good idea.

Dude, Oxford does weird things to your sleeping pattern. I've only just readjusted mine, and I never left the country. :-/.
