the first two i got from the editorial page of the online washington post. (we heart syndication, yes we do. [g]) this one, i got from PoliticalCartoons.com (http://www.politicalcartoons.com), where i did a search on "pope" -- but i admit i was looking for a specific cartoon i remember having seen in an issue of newsweek some time when i was in edinburgh, which was 1997-98, and their archive only goes back to 1999. (it was drawn in response to the whole apology-for-the-holocaust thing, and thus had i found it i would not have posted it today.)
