I go up to the Stratford Festival every summer. Well, most summers. (This past summer, I didn't go, because the plan was to go around September 26, and suddenly leaving the country wasn't a thing you could arrange to do in much of a hurry. But anyway.) So in the summer of 2000, Paul Gross was the headliner. I'd only sort of vaguely heard of due South, but I was apparently the only person there who'd been under that particular rock -- favorite son, much? Yyyeah.

Anyway, of course he was appearing as the lead in Hamlet -- a guy who'd come back to Denmark on the trail of the killers of his father.

Yeah. I know. Someone want to make it stop?
