ph34R my conversion skilz

okay, my googling-and-button-pushing skills, then.  for i? have converted my time-honored cookie recipes (chocolate chip cookies and ginger cookies; amaretti will have to wait until i can remember or be reminded how much sugar to use) into metric.  MWAHAHAHAHA!

i will copy them down someplace i am unlikely to lose them, so i don't have to do all this again.  yes.

okay when I first read your subject line I thought it said ph3AR my _conversation_ skilz.

And I thought to myself, "When did fox loose her ability to converse with others? I've always thought she was *good* at that. I mean why else would she be in the program that she's in? It's all about language and talking and communicating and she's *good* at that. So why would she loose it?"

And then I read your post and said, "That had nothing to do with language. Something's wrong here." And I read it again and I saw you wrote conversion skilz.

And then I felt dumb.

/Thank you for taking a tour in fafou's brain. The next tour will begin in a half and hour.

Heh. I, too, thought it said "conversation" skills for a minute.

So, now it's all in metric, but still in volume measurements rather than weight, yeah? Cause I hear that's how they do their recipes over there, in weight, rather than volume.

no, i went all the way -- i mean, how can you convert cups to metric? cc's? not likely. :-) recipes are indeed by weight rather than by volume on this side, which is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS. butter? comes in 250g blocks with no markings on it for smaller divisions. how do people get the right amount for baking? well, i mean, they have a kitchen scale. but, argh! (liquids i converted to mL, but all the rest is now in grams.)
