a full day
i was Very Industrious at the library today, and did all the reading for my tutorial this coming tuesday except the chapter from the book that hadn't come up yet from the stacks.
then went to cricket practice, where we didn't have enough people to play a game, so we just worked on batting and bowling. i bowled quite well! unfortunately i can't seem to bat for shit.
then back the other way again to meet my parents for dinner, which was very nice. and back to my place to chat for a while, and then i took them to their bus stop and have just come home again. back to the library tomorrow morning to read that last chapter, and then i'll hop on the bus and go out to meet the folks and have a day Somewhere Other Than Here, since it's a saturday in oxford in the springtime and they're conferring degrees. god, the place is going to be a complete zoo.
ooh, and, birthday presents! my parents brought me seasons 3 and 4 of west wing on dvd! (my mother saw my face when i opened the package and said "... and there goes the thesis ..." [ggg]
