later

went back to bed for a bit, after making the doctor's appointment and taking some robitussin.  (memo to self:  get more of this when you're home this weekend.)  i was breathing better when i was sitting up at my desk than i had been when i was lying down, but i really had to lie down, man, so i was a little anxious for a bit, but the medicine seemed to do at least enough of the trick that i dozed off for a couple of hours.

interestingly, before i woke up the first time i'd had a dream that (a) almost the entire cast of [livejournal.com profile] exobscurus was living on my hall, and (b) they almost all had cats, and (c) most of the cats, some with kittens, were in my room and i had to shoo them out and back to their respective owners.  ([livejournal.com profile] acejillian in particular had a very pretty fluffy white long-haired thing.)  the kittens in the dream were too small to be kittens, but they were little and fuzzy and making cute mewing sounds and definitely feline, so in the context of the dream they were kittens, yes.  and then i woke up and couldn't breathe, which makes me think that the dream was supplied by the part of my brain going WOULD YOU GET AWAY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FROM WHATEVER IS MAKING YOU WHEEZE?!  oy.

anyway, dozed off for a couple of hours.  am awake again now, not sneezing for the moment, which is good, because i'm petrified that the first time i sneeze it'll set me off coughing and i'm not sure i could handle that right now.  definitely need to eat something, but i'm also concerned that all this could be a nascent food allergy -- it doesn't seem like one, but i've been taking my antihistamines for hay fever, and this is happening to me anyway, so my mind is starting to go other places.  i've been trying to make a list of everything i ate and drank yesterday.  could i be allergic to tea?

Or it could just mean that cats really are evil in their intent to chase the allergic even unto the dreamtime.

Have any medical types commented on the latest round of sneezery?

Ooh! Fluffy white kitty! It sounds so adorable!!

I just wish I wasn't allergic to them.

I hope you aren't allergic to tea- did any of your roommates bring anything home that you don't usually have there? Did you go any place new where you may have gotten pollen of something on coat?

A friend of my mother all of a sudden developed this nasty (I mean, violently nasty) allergy to cedar and had to wash all of her clothes and trash her cedar closet. Perhaps your fabric softner? I get all sneezy icky with a certain scent...
