Make a list of all the characters in your icons.  (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.)  Alphabetize it.  Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing.  Second two people; second pairing.

i have more characters in my icons than i thought:

alexander dane (as dr. lazarus)/anya (who at least once says her last name is jenkins, but we know that's a lie, so i'm putting her here) -- it's possible his patience for her would be even less than his patience for any of the crap we see him deal with in the movie.  on the other hand, i suppose it's possible he'd find her forthrightness to be refreshing.

benton fraser/robert fraser -- gah. gah. gah. gah.

fiona (from four weddings and a funeral, whose last name we never learn)/daniel jackson -- well, she'd kill him, but apart from that?  (wouldn't she?  i'm afraid i don't know daniel that well.)

remus lupin/jack o'neill -- i don't know jack well enough to be sure about this, but my sense is that this is just a bad fit.

quellek (thermians only use one name, as far as we can tell)/anakin skywalker -- poor quellek.  poor, poor, poor quellek.  at least he won't suffer for very long.

severus snape/captain jack sparrow -- ahhhahhahhahhahahahhahhahahaha ...

Hee! I just tried this and I think the best pairing I got was Falstaff/Hamlet (theirloveissoverbose!)

(Although Frodo/Beatrice is a pretty hilarious mental image. Also, the meme yielded the perfectly canonical Henry V/Katherine, which amused me.)

Anya also at one point in the Musical Episode flashback calls her self Anya Emmanuelle Lame-Ass-Made-Up-Maiden-Name Harris, so you could have alpha'ed her under L.

Daniel Jackson killed by Fiona? I think not. In fact, I could totally see Fiona mooning after Daniel, or is that just me projecting? ;-)

Remus is very similar to Daniel, but with that touch of bad boy that Daniel is missing most of the time. And lord knows that Jack and Daniel are in love (screw this Jack/Sam canon crap).
