wedding in college tonight. Son of a Preacher Man working the bar. he clocks in at 6pm. 6:45, i get a text message -- 'come down to the bar later.' he's bored.
i text back -- 'okay, will come down like 9pm.'
8:45, i figure what the hell, i head downstairs.
place is a ZOO. since about 8, Son of a Preacher Man has been making drinks as fast as he can, and has not had a spare nine seconds to pick up the phone and say 'OMGHELP!' he didn't know if i was coming down at all, but when i did, i took one look at the room, scooted behind the bar, and said 'can i help?' and he said 'god yes.'
closed the bar at 12ish. clocked out at 1. so my fun for the evening was 3.25 hours of work i hadn't planned on (but for which i will be paid, oh yes indeed), and £7 in tips. money yay!
