Yikes. I just read eliand504's post (http://www.livejournal.com/users/eliand504/168982.html) about her apartment being under five feet of water and I'm really... just. ouch about it. :(
I think it's me being dramatic, but I get the sense looking at these pictures that no matter what, they'll never be able to push the water back from the city; I mean, it's a *sea* for godsake. I'm just convinced deep down that it's like; the first modern city (or chunks of it, rather) doomed to become a underwater curiosity. *shrug* I'm sure there have been others, but wow. Makes me think of that one artist that paints Seattle underwater with Orcas swimming around the Space Needle Yeah. /undereducated wibbly harbinger of doom rambling
