homegirl B has heard from all of her family except her stepfather.  also has no news about the house (but, brightish side:  recently rebuilt all sorts of strong, and up on stilts), or what people are likely to find when they're allowed to go back there.  anyone who can find me any information i can pass on to her about Slidell, LA, please do.

A reader posts that there is a database being developed for people who are missing and may need to be rescued from New Orleans. Call 225-925-6626 to give officials their names. They may also have information about people already rescued.
