ellen_fremedon, you know i want you to get well, but can't you get rid of your nasty bronchial cold without giving it to me (across thousands of miles, yet)?

my sore throat is a genuine cold now.  fortunately, it seems to be progressing quickly; my first choice would be not to have it at all, but failing that, it looks like it'll be gone before i come down to DC, well before i go to Hong Kong, and ages before i go to florida and would otherwise have to spend the whole time in a different part of the house than my friend and her new baby.

Though, in my defense, if yours started with a sore throat, then it's not the cold I had. You've got someone else's cold.
