brunch!  (pipers piping)

so, DCfolk:

anyone up for brunch this sunday?  the past couple of times, we've gone to Mango Mike's (all-you-can-drink mimosas, and a steel drum band you can mock when you get tired of the music), but i know that can be hard for people without cars to get to.  i'm trying to work out if there's a bus that goes nearby or what, but failing that, here are three questions:

1.  does anyone have other suggestions?
2.  assuming we stay with mango mike's, what time do people like?  (i'll have to make a reservation if we're going to be a group.)
3.  if people aren't into the brunch concept, that's okay too.  i'm a fan, but not such a fan i'll get all weepy if it doesn't happen.  (only, traditions are good, yo!)

please let me know asap, so i can be all planny and stuff.  thanks!

I would totally go to brunch, the later the better, and have no actual suggestions as to a place.

If you do Mango Mikes, I recommend earlier rather than later (say 11:30), they get a big after church crowd.

Alas and Alack... I've got to work (surprised aren't you?)

I'd say earlier rather than later as well, since there is a Board Meeting at the curling club.... Um, this is a tentative yes, also.

yes and I agree with [livejournal.com profile] sowilo about 11:30am

I can provide rides to some folks from the metro just let me know when/where

i agree with [livejournal.com profile] sowilo about 11:30, and in fact [livejournal.com profile] gblvr is right about the board meeting -- which is in laurel at 2pm, so people like [livejournal.com profile] cmshaw and [livejournal.com profile] datlowen (the two i depend on for wheels [g]) will probably want to split around 1, so in fact it may be best to make the reservation for more like 10:00 ...

ride-wise, i'm mainly concerned about [livejournal.com profile] ellen_fremedon and [livejournal.com profile] sanj, whom i haven't heard from yet today, obviously. but, yay for rides!

Hey, did you see this?

Yay for equality but boo for loss of tradition.

wow. i hadn't seen that; i knew there were changes in the works, but nobody thought the colleges would give that much ground. oy.

count me in, given time constraints!

i did very much like mango mike's. i know that rhodeside grill and harry's tap room both have nice brunches, but they aren't nearly so fancy. :)

Count me in, so long as there are rides available!
