1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?
"Where are my contacts?"

2. How much cash do you have on you?
literally on me at the moment:  none.  in my wallet:  about £60, because i went to the ATM the other day and haven't spent much of it yet.

3. What's a word that rhymes with "DOOR"?
abhor.  bore.  boar.  core.  chore.  eeyore.  four.  floor.  gore.  whore.  hoar.  lore.  more.  nor.  oar.  pore.  pour.  poor (this is debatable).  roar.  soar.  sore.  score.  shore.  tore.  (NOT tour.)  thor.  wore.  war.  yore.  your.  you're.  (again, debatable.)

silly question to have asked me, don't you think?  ;-)

4. Favorite planet?
what, like, to live on?

5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?
i don't have a separate Missed Call list from the Received Call list, but the fourth person on the Incoming list is the genuine tenor from my chapel choir.

6. What is your favorite ring on your phone?
um -- probably the one i use, because i tend to choose the one i can stand.  i don't know off the top of my head what it is, though; possibly Mozart's Turkish Rondo?  i normally have it set on vibrate.

7. What shirt are you wearing?
an army-green scoop-neck t-shirt under a white button-down with 3/4 french-cuff sleeves.

8. Do you "label" yourself?
i'm a white heterosexual culturally-jewish unitarian universalist single woman, if that's what you're asking.

9. Name the brand of your shoes you're currently wearing.
adidas (samba).

10. Bright or Dark Room?
at the moment:  lit, but i wouldn't say bright.  for preference:  something i could control easily.  i don't like the sun directly in my eyes, so i'd say north- or east-facing, and therefore probably darker than the people who say bright.

11. What do you think about the person who took this survey?
[livejournal.com profile] angevin2?  i think she's as nutty about the stratford festival as i am, which is awesome, and some time we'll have to meet up at Down The Street for a beer.  [g]

there is evidently no number 12.

13. What were you doing at midnight last night?
chatting with [livejournal.com profile] gail_b, i think.

14. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?
oh, gosh.  [looks this up]  it said "Going to tv room to watch family guy."  was from Son of a Preacher Man.

15. Where is your nearest 7-11?
probably about four thousand miles west of here.

16. What's a word that you say a lot?
... i don't know.  what is a word that i say a lot?

17. Who told you they loved you last?
my parents.

18. Last furry thing you touched?
i mainly don't touch furry things, because i'm allergic to most of them.

19. How Many Drugs Have You Done In The Past seven Days?
um.  just one, i think?  which was my birth control pills last friday and saturday?  also alcohol and caffeine, if you count those, which i normally don't ...

20. How many roles of film do u need to get developed?
none -- i'm digital.

21. Favorite age you have been so far?
17.

22. Your worst enemy?
myself, i'm sure.

23. What is your current desktop picture?
the ice at my curling club.

24. What was the last thing you said to someone?
"I'm going away, then."  downstairs when the bar had closed.

25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly, which would you choose?
the money.

26. Do you like someone?
i like many people.  but, to answer the question that was meant, yes, i do.

27. The last song you listened to?
um.  something by tom lehrer on the iTunes, but i don't remember what.

i was pretty happy at 17. my birthday is in the spring, as you know, and that summer i had a boyfriend, managed to get a suntan without the preliminary sunburn step, got a job i didn't hate at the time ... granted, in august my grandmother died and in october i was in a car accident that left me not wanting to drive at all for months and my parents had to insist that i get back out there, and i'm still skittish about left turns across traffic, but, silver lining, i learned to drive stick, and then in the winter i got in to college early action so that was a huge load off my mind, i was relatively groovy at school, with a handful of independent studies in place of some classes, no math, no science, just two english classes with a teacher i really liked, independent study in french with a teacher i also really liked, i think i was taking spanish from the non-incompetent spanish teacher (the younger of two brothers, both hilarious), and lots of theatre, where i was on the board or the committee or whatever we called it then, and things were in general pretty cool. plus i like the number 17. :-) i like the number 23, too, but i mean since leaving high school i've never been as care-free as i was when i was in high school, have i?
