oh! and!
i got props at choir tonight! we were reading through the St John Passion for the first time, came to a tricky bit, and stopped, and the director had the sopranos do our trickiest bit by ourselves, and we got it wrong again, and i started making notes in my score, and he looked over and said 'there's some very diligent marking of accidentals happening over here.' and then said something about how he wished the whole section were that attentive.

(actually, i got a prop and a half, because later on he mentioned that he'd noticed several of us, as we were singing through, make a little note to ourselves when we noticed we'd individually made a mistake; and i was in only the second row back, and right on the end with nobody in front of me, so i must have been one of the ones he was talking about. professionalism yay.)
