fox: angry face: you have misused that comma for the last bloody time! (comma (by Sam))

what bugs me lately

You know what I don't like?  Today, that is, at the moment, besides having frustrating arguments with the OUSU VP (Finance)?

I don't like 'moreso'.  Two words:  more so.  The shoving them together is really getting to me -- possibly because in the past few, I don't know, days? weeks? I've been seeing a lot of it.  Knock it off, y'all, willya?

I agree. "moreso" to me looks like I want to pronounce it mor EE so, and it should be a tropical dessert.

"Welcome to our island! Please try a slice of papaya moreso!"

it could just be me.

What's worse, it will eventually morph into morso (like forego / forgo ).

Although I must point out that Strunk & White seem in favor of coining new compound words, and I love those guys. *G*

... 'moreso'? Jesus, why must people do this?

People will probably start writing it that way alot. ;-)

But that's alright, isn't it? ;-)
