So ever since they've turned the heat on in my building, I've had my thermostat set at like 60 degrees. This is not because I want it to be 60 degrees in my apartment (a little less than 16, for those of you who can only think in new money -- perfectly pleasant outdoors, but not how I want it to be inside), but because I live on the 9th of 10 floors so I get a lot of other people's heat, and I live on the east side so I get the morning light which warms the place up and keeps it that way for most of the day. I keep the thermostat set at 60 just in case, by some freak occurrence, the temperature in the apartment gets that low.
It's freezing in here now -- but the thermometer says 70. Even so, it feels reallyreally cold. So I have just, for the first time, turned up the heat. Dude!
