Not especially. I like the name and the implications, and I've been idly (and at various times) thinking about getting my real name out of my LJ name -- but I wouldn't change my icons, and I wouldn't ask people to stop referring to me as Fox, so the change wouldn't really be that comprehensive. [shrug] Mainly? I like the name. :-)
It means "so-called", but "soi" means "self", so it's so-called-because-she-said-so, really. Self-called, or self-described, or self-named. I love that, for an LJ name.
I answered yes, if only because I was ambivalent and didn't want to rain on your parade by voting No. I do like the name though, and I've been toying with changing mine as well, but no name that I've wanted has been available
i mean, it's easier for me if you stay darthfox, but that's not a fair basis. ;) and soi-disant is cool, and something i can pronounce and probably spell reliably! (not that darthfox wasn't, but it's a consideration versus other names i've seen.)
Hmmm. I've said yes because it's a cool name and it's your choice when it comes to the crunch. But I admit I like darthfox too and it's easier if you stay the same . So colour me ambivalent too.

Even when I see "darthfox" written somewhere, I read it as "Fox". That'll probably be true of any name your journal has.
