somebody stop me

Oh my god, I should not be turned loose in the sandwich-fixings aisle.  I will just keep. buying. jam.

Today:  Grape jam (which [livejournal.com profile] ellen_fremedon explained how it's different from grape jelly, and the difference makes sense of why I like it better), red plum jam, mango jam (!), peach preserves, blueberry preserves, and the old standby red raspberry preserves on account of I'm out of that here at home.  I stopped myself getting apple jelly (v. mild flavor likely to make it less interesting -- though I may overrule myself on this), apricot preserves (v. similar to peach), mint and red pepper and other sorts of jellies (not cooking meat dishes on which to put them), and blackberry jam (b/c it was only available seedless, which offends my sensibilities [though I understand some people have legitimate reasons for going that way]).  In my defense, these are for stirring into yogurt as well as putting on sandwiches, but still.  I think I may have a fixation.

Apricot preserves are yummy because they are more....bright? tangy? something? than peach.

Apple jelly sounds weird, but apple butter is teh yum.
