That's just not fun on either side.  Fortunately, everyone seemed to remain in good spirits, and we hung out for a while after, as you do.  But I'm tired and achy from a day of aching and getting over Novocaine, and that wasn't an awful lot of fun to cap it off with.  :-P

You must have been hoping that they'd shake after 4 ends so you could get on with the stupid extra two ends of rock throwing for the dorky not a draw to the button, sekret sealed in an envelope, WTF portion of the evening.

The steal in the third was actually the worst -- we had two in the house, and she drew back to one of them, and it turned out our other one was still shot. MF saw KA in the hack and us ready to sweep and didn't believe for a minute that we had scored.

After that game I actually kind of enjoyed the super-giant-shootout, but it is difficult to deny the WTF aspect of the thing. Plus, we were a full end behind you after four but still finished a solid 45 minutes before you did.

I would have totally gotten into a single end's worth of throwing - but 2 ends was just brutal on all of us with such a late start anyway. Who wanted an 8:15pm start anyway? Shesh!

I believe the form asked for preferences thus, "Thursday early, Thursday late, Friday early, Friday late". And not knowing the absolute value of "early", and being unwilling to leave work early for it, and Friday being absolutely impossible, I ranked those, in order of preference, "2, 1, no, no." If "early" would have meant "7:30", well, then, I guess I got hosed. :-P (But I think the people coming from Virginia would have hated that.)
