i have got to stop fucking around.
i did go to the library (actually, libraries -- grad and ed, and tomorrow, science and engineering) today and track down articles for my discourse analysis paper, due friday. i checked out books, copied articles from other books, sent full-text copies of more articles to myself from the online catalog, and begged![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ellen_fremedon, who's setting herself up to be hero-worshipped in a big way, to e-mail me PDFs of still further articles from a journal to which this stupid university doesn't have access.
i got home from that little adventure at least three and a half hours ago. i intended to run back out again, quickly, get something to eat, and then come home and hunker down with this philosophy paper. instead of which, i've been sitting at my desk, staring at the screen, checking e-mail, re-loading lj, playing with photoshop, and reading my last philosophy paper to make sure i can get back in that groove, style-wise.
(the philosophy professor does not need to read a paper written by the lucius malfoy that's been in my head for two weeks.)
the thing is due wednesday. discourse is due friday. close of business, in both cases. i don't have time to be sitting here amusing myself. what the fuck am i doing?
