Not that any of you in the National Capital Area needs to be reminded, but it's the primaries today.

I'm getting a later start than I meant to this morning, but omgrelevance.  I love it.

It was somewhat surprising that the elementary school that was serving as our polling station was open for business. I guess they are not expecting a significant turn-out.

Really? Montgomery County (MD) schools were completely closed, even the schools that aren't hosting voting sites.

Knowing Montgomery County...were they closed for the elections, or for fear of the weather? :-D

It was really bizarre, though. There I was walking amongst elementary school kids as I went through the halls to the gymnasium where the voting machines were stationed.

Haha... MCPS has always closed all their schools for voting. It's been like that since I was a kid. I think because there aren't enough community centers/non-schools where people can vote.

Maybe their rationale is that high school students can babysit their middle school/elem school siblings...
