holy smoke

I have not known a grocery store to be more of a zoo than the Giant in which I just spent far too long trying to buy some soda and a half-gallon of milk.  Between the people parking their carts bang in the middle of the aisle and the people steering their carts all around the place without looking where they're going, I came nearer to being run down more times than I even know.  And then every blessed lane but one was open and the queues were still way too long, and the blistering incompetence of my fellow shoppers at the self-checkout -- well, I'd say it had to be seen to be believed, but I've seen it before, and I believe it all right.

Christ.

I feel you - we still shop there. If you do manage to make it further afield, though, we've had some better luck at the Wheaton Giant. I also sometimes shop close to work and then just take it home with me. The Shoppers on Cherry Hill rarely incites the same level of rage within me.

I don't hate the Giant at PG Plaza, which I pass by when I'm going home by E-W Hwy. I'll have to look into the Shoppers, though, and see if they've got a couple of things Giant doesn't carry.
