fox | what i have learned today

I can do a two-hour drive along an unfamiliar stretch of interstate at 4 in the morning on three-ish hours' sleep, but it's better if I don't have to. (I didn't so much as swerve toward the edge of the road, but my eyes were crossing an awful lot. There was much singing and face-slapping.)

Got on the plane, stowed my carry-ons, and was asleep before the safety announcements. Hauled myself through the airport at the home end and drove home safely, and immediately crashed on the couch for [checks clock] another five hours and a bit.

There's laundry I have got to do, and I haven't yet summoned the energy to do it. Maybe I should eat something first.
