another memo

dear everyone:

when you examine something intently, you are not "pouring" over it unless you also have a jug of maple syrup in your hand. please embrace the distinction between pouring and poring, and do it soon.

thank you.

No maple syrup, please. I have an odd squick against combining food and sex. *g*

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I know it's supposed to be hot and all, but the whole time I'm having thoughts like "crumbs! crumbs in new places!" and "when you wake up, the ants will be EVERYWHERE."

Absolutely! I mean, wouldn't that itch?

Word, word, *word.*

I hate that one so much.

As Fraser pored over his father's diaries,
Turnbull waited patiently with the maple syrup.

"Jeez," said Ray, "If he doesn't finish soon, you can just pour it all on me, Ren"

in the next episode, Ren and Ray discover the difference between lie and lay

AMEN. Please see that this is enforced. Thank you.

I think this one's a lost cause. Good luck, though.

How are you feeling, BTW?

you think they're all lost causes, dude. doom-and-gloom thalia, in the grammar wars. mrrr. :-)

i'm feeling a good deal better -- thanks. should probably call the doctor and make sure there's no followup i'm supposed to be doing, or something.

LOL! You're right; my pessimistic side seems to come out on these. I think I've just seen too much butchering in the last four years.
