sunday, eventually

I did go back to bed, if anyone was worried, and slept for another two and a half hours. Woke up much less headachey, and impulsively decided that what was making my pillows smoosh down and not fluff back up again might be the allergen-filtering pillow-subcases my allergist encouraged me to put on almost a year ago. Yes, I've been frustrated by this for almost a year, but it was only this morning that it occurred to me that in fact I may not need new pillows at all. Took them out of the allergy bags and sure enough, they bounced back much better. I think I will not put them back on. The dust mites won't kill me, but the neck cramps might.

Anyway. Then mallrat fun time with [livejournal.com profile] sanj and [livejournal.com profile] ellen_fremedon, in which I found what seriously may be the best dress ever, and didn't buy it. Sigh. When I have an excuse or when it goes on sale (or, ideally, both!), I will buy it and it will be mine. Someday! And then we watched the Stratford Pirates, in which I got goosebumps a full two minutes before "Hail, Poetry" just knowing it was coming up, and the Pirate King was the customary level of awesome (it's the production I grew up with, so, you know, awesome, but it's fun watching other people see it for the first time), and the wedding-cake thing at the end of Act I was no less impressive, and [livejournal.com profile] sanj said "Plus I'm sure the rest of the sisters are thinking if they can get Mabel married off, everyone else can drop down a fifth, so maybe that's their investment in it." Hee!

Electric kettle is vinegar-boiled and working nicely. Tea is almost drunk. Off to bed on pillows that won't hurt me. Yay weekend.
