I didn't hear the speech tonight. But I heard the local news station going on about it in the car on the way from work to errands to curling. And I heard one of the news readers say this:
I may in fact ("there are hundreds of white guys!") have yelled at the radio.
America has come so far, hasn't it? We've got an African-American as president, and we've got a man of Indian descent giving the opposition response. There's not a white guy up there!(And then her colleague said "And don't forget Nancy Pelosi, the first woman Speaker!")
