I think it's a very good thing, but because I'm sure you don't agree, I'll spare you my reasoning -- as it wouldn't be fair for me to lay out my position and then insist that I don't at the moment want to discuss it, which I don't. :-/
I'm actually of two minds about it, which is why I asked. I get plenty of RL friends telling my why it's bad, and I think I understand the other side of the argument as well, but I'm always interested in hearing other viewpoints.
Totally understand not wanting to talk about it, though. These things usually end in acrimony. I'll post my opinion on my LJ in case you're interested.
