ongoing grade report:

psychology: A

russian grammar (for which, you'll remember, i wrote a wretched paper; as of monday the professor hadn't decided what grade to give me on the course, because my final exam contained numerous errors. i wasn't prepared to argue this point with him, because it was completely true; as i pointed out to him, all i'd have been able to say was "yeah, i sure made up a bunch of those answers, didn't i." [g]): A (yay!)

russian semantics: jury's still out, and no earthly way to predict what the grade might be ...

[also, sekrit message for [livejournal.com profile] jgesteve: i'll be delighted to help you out if and when you need help, if you promise not to complain when i get how i get. ;-)]

i meant the long-winded!get, although i was actually thinking more of the taking-for-granted-that-people-know-what-i'm-talking-about!get, which i suppose might be a cross between the two options you mentioned. as a teacher (or tutor), though, i'm very patient. (seriously! i don't have a ton of use for the same exact question asked over and over, but the same type of question, i.e. evidence that someone doesn't understand rather than that someone hasn't been listening, that's fine.)
