weekend update:

saturday: slept. after yesterday's post, i did in fact make some soup and install myself on the couch. i was on the couch for a couple of hours before i dozed off; woke up and realized i'd dozed off for about half an hour; crawled back into bed around 8:00 pm. intended to read for a bit, but fell asleep. woke up at 11:00, twisted in a pretzel on top of three pillows, all the lights still on, general ickiness. turned off the lights, put the pillows back in order, tried to go to sleep. lay awake, tossing and turning, for three hours.

sunday: met friend M for twofold purpose -- to return chairs she lent me when i was painting the new apartment (five weeks ago), and to take her to brunch for her birthday. had pleasant morning. returned superfluous extended-TTT dvd, [livejournal.com profile] jgesteve having informed me i could now do so for full price, and exchanged it for boxed set of back to the future dvds. huzzah. up to curling, where BG was my spare at vice and two people i've never met were my front end. we all played astonishingly well, actually. BB was the opposing skip (so, not really equally matched there); his vice was a total disaster (but well-meaning), and his front end was a couple of decent rookies. i made some killer shots, and was generally very pleased with how i was playing -- especially given my condition. BG did very well at vice, making some crucial shots -- and, shockingly, he apologized for friday's row over rocks burned past the hogline and apologized two or three times when he got talkative and full of useless suggestions when i was trying to consider my shot. (this was surprising, of course, but also annoying in its own way, because how mad can you stay at someone who knows he's the most annoying man alive and makes a deliberate effort to knock it off?)

had driven [livejournal.com profile] jgesteve to the club, but left him in the capable hands of [livejournal.com profile] cmshaw so i could get home the sooner. spoke to parents for about 20 minutes. do not know the final result of [livejournal.com profile] datlowen's game from this afternoon. would love to feel well enough to go to work tomorrow, as need the money, so am going to take contacts out and go to bed.

I am sorry to hear you are still sick.. do you blame your illness on MM?

Also, on the BG situation - that's why I'm semi-defending the guy this season. He goes out of his way to *try* & stop being so annoying around me. It's impressive because to do so he's got to change his very nature! Yes, it's also annoying.

Anyway, feel better!

alas, i'm afraid you may be right!

would love to feel well enough to go to work tomorrow

::petpet:: if you feel even half as bad as you sounded this morning, staying home was the right choice, i think. i hope you're sleeping well as i write this!
