painting update
i did, in fact, do the bathroom first, followed by the second-biggest pains in the ass: the kitchen (not much area, but bright color in semi-gloss) and the blue part of the living room (dark color, harder to cover). have also completed all the grey except some edges at the top, and a bit of the yellow. in fact all that remains is the single biggest wall. piece of cake! will do it tomorrow.
whole place smells like paint. windows open, ceiling fan on top speed. put back only a couple of switch plates, so i could re-plug the power strip and the phone cable for the DSL.
blood blister has completely gone. all that remains is a wee spot on my fingertip where i pricked it to let it drain. the mosquito bite i got last night is more visible. (also showing no evidence is the finger i caught between two heavy objects while loading the van last night. i'd have thought there'd be a big ol' bruise, but there is none. once again, the fingernail does its job! woo-hoo! let's hear it for auto-defense mechanisms!)

mearagrrl. v. cute, exactly as advertised -- everybody sing with me now: FORMULAAA! but, exciting anyhow, in its charming way, and also, PAUL BETTANY. teh pretteh. (truth be known, although he's very pretty i still don't entirely buy him as Leading Man. i was happier when he was SmartAss!Chaucer at the sporting events, rather than Underdog Hero. but! prettier to look at this time. even without the pimp coat.)
