things that ain't right (#46752 in a series)

It is May 29.

I am wearing a sweater and have my space heater on at my feet.

Outside, we have just had a precipitation event that set off a car alarm a few blocks away.  Dratted hail.  I wasn't talking about the weather at this time last year, and that makes me think it must not have been worth remarking on -- so it was probably warm and vaguely summery.

Wearing a sweater.  Rar.

Last week when it was freezing our accounts assistant, who sits in the lodge, said she never thought she'd wish they'd turn the heat back on. Normally she gets really warm and is among the first people badgering them to turn the heat down when winter is finishing up, but now she sits in there shivering. I asked her who she thought we should complain to about the weather, and she suggested the Prime Minister. :-) (Why not blame him for this on top of everything else, after all?)

Well didn't he reckon he speaks to God about most things before he does them? He could have a word with the Almighty about turning up the heating just a wee bit ;O)

Did he? I'm sorry to hear that. I hadn't realized our president had been having quite that much of an effect on your PM. :-(

Maybe he MEANT our president; he seems to have an awfully high opinion of him (I guess somebody has to).

A couple of weeks ago we were in shorts and sandals. Saturday - well, see my LJ, hail and hail and hail and rain. They say Seattle weather parallels UK weather; more evidence!
