WAYS IN WHICH I WIN

I? have just found the tape on which [livejournal.com profile] jgesteve recorded the "Putting It Together" special for me approx (I think) five years ago, with Carol Burnett, Ruthie Henshall, John Barrowman (yes, that one), Bronson Pinchot, and ... that other guy George Hearn.  (Look, it was a long time ago.  Sue me for having to look it up.)

It's awesome, of course, because they're all brilliant, but chiefly what it means is that some time in the next hour or so I will hear Captain Jack Harkness sing "Being Alive", and you won't.

(You know I'd share if I could.)

That production is now available on DVD. I keep meaning to buy it. If I recall, doesn't the whole cast end up singing Being Alive? It's been a while for me to. I know he sings Marry Me a Little (which I've got a ripped-version of on my iPod)...

Also, I am making a point right now to bring blank discs to work to burn a copy of all the Forbidden Broadways that I have if you can do likewise... and then we can swap and make sure that we all have all Forbidden Broadways... are you coming to my BBQ? I can't recall if yours is one of the addresses that evite keeps screwing up and resurrecting old ones for...

Also also, I haven't forgotten about Musical of Musicals, what are you doing this Thursday? I was thinking of maybe doing a last minute check at TicketPlace to see if they have tix for that evening's performance. Let me know if you might be available...

I think I got the evite and meant to reply with regrets -- but I could just be hallucinating that, too (see above re: "Being Alive").

I am free this Thursday, however. Let's do it! And I can even make copies of the primary-colored FBs by then. :-)
