ah, torchwood.

There is more pretty John Barrowman on my television.  Thank you BBCA.  [doffs hat]

I really do think someone should cast our John Barrowman and Mark Harmon as separated at birth.

Ooooh thanks for the reminder, even if I am a bit late. :D

God, it's choppy as hell, eh? Is it just me, or is it only about 45 seconds between commercial breaks? (And it's not like they have a ton more space to fill, or anything. An hour-long US drama is 42 minutes, and by the .avi file on my hard drive these are like 48 on average. "They Keep Killing Suzie" is over 52 minutes. Do they shove it on with only eight minutes of commercials, or do they cut out ten minutes of the show?)

I was just going to say, "Wow, I wish we got BBCA"... but maybe I don't. That would drive me nuts.

I don't think the cuts are badly placed, the way SciFi buggers up Doctor Who with bad cuts -- it's just that there are so *many* of them.

Well, we don't get SciFi either (*kicks Comcast*), so I've never seen either Dr Who or Torchwood with commercials. And that's OK, really.

And I know what you mean, in general. Sometimes when Matt and I are watching a movie on TV I can't believe how often the commercials come. It's kind of frightening.

They will shave off bits to make it fit. If TKKS is 52 minutes, they will cut it down to 42-43 to fit. Last of the Time Lords is 51 minutes long too, and they will cut that as well.

Feh. I know the networks do that, but you'd think cable would lighten up. At least you'd think BBCA would be less of an ass about it than SciFi.

I know. I totally sucks. It makes me only want to watch HBO/Showtime shows or the BBC.
