IANTO!

Er.  I mean.  Torchwood!

Adam
THAT WAS AWESOME.  I could have done without Jack laying on hands (and, small quibbly side note, without the line "but not the way I love you"), but apart from that, AWESOME.  I want to marry Catherine Tregenna.  My favorite thing was Rusty (although it was actually Catherine, of course) getting his (her) Joss on, because Jack:Adam::Buffy:Dawn, when somoene says to the new kid, "What are you?"  (My second favorite thing is that Jack's parents and brother never call him Jack, because that of course is not really his name.  That's the kind of thing that makes me want to marry Catherine Tregenna, because you know there are writers who'd have fucked that up.  (Not Moffatt, though.  He'd have got it right as well.))

Reset
Martha!  AND IANTO IS JEALOUS.  I think I love the Ianto Jones Death Glare he gives when Owen misfires with that thingummy, whatever it is?  But of course I think I love Ianto no matter what.  (I might have laughed out loud, though.  Just a bit.)

Owen is thriving having a colleague, yo.  (I mean, it helps that it's Martha and he digs her.  But I think a large part of it is that he's got someone else with medical training.)

And they are COVERED IN BEES!  (Can I see a show of hands how many people did not say that?)

If I were supersecret Torchwood, I don't think I'd have a big "Torchwood" watermark on my documents.

I THINK I JUST DIED.  And I think you know what I mean.  Yes you do.  "Innovative.  Bordering on the avant-garde."  Shoot, it's been more than 24 hours -- I can't believe there aren't already a dozen fics with that as the title by now.

Who is this, and what has he done with Owen?  (And what has this woman done with Tosh?)

Hey, the SUV has a manual transmission.  (Insert joke here about Ianto driving stick.)  That shift thing is HOT.  And he's a Weevil-wrangler!

And finally:  OMFG!  (But:  27, my ass.)

To sum up in a spoiler-free manner:  I don't think I've been the head-splodey kind of fannish about anything in a long time.  This probably comes from coming late to a lot of parties -- I was in the Star Wars prequels when they were current, but I sort of got to The Sentinel and Due South and who knows what else a few steps behind the rush.  SGA as well, to the extent I was/am fannish about that.  Even Harry Potter, kind of, although I guess that was the last thing I was this sort of fannish about -- but not really the same way ever since Order of the Phoenix, I'm guessing, and those of you who saw me in line for Deathly Hallows with my iPod running so I couldn't hear you speculating, you just hush; that wasn't the same, because it wasn't something in progress, it was something ending.

I like this fan thing.  It is good, sometimes, for the head to go splodey.  Yes.

Not reading most of this post, because I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN THE END OF RESET, but... yeah. I got into SG-1 during season 4, right before the shipping wars started, but that was so Not Fun that I bailed almost immediately. Dr Who and Torchwood have been great, though--I've been loving looking forward to the eps every week and squeeing and fretting and all that.

Oh, god yeah - it's been since the Prequels that I was into a living show. I'm going BERSERK with this. I love it.

So much love for these episodes!! Now I really really want to title my dissertation "Bordering on the avant-garde".
